What Slips is

A private receipt vault for a household: photograph slips, have them read automatically, search them later, and see where the money goes. It is provided free of charge and as-is.

Your account

Fair use

Reading receipts costs real money, so each family has a monthly allowance of slips (shown in your admin screen). Don't upload things that aren't your household's receipts, don't try to access other families' data, and don't attempt to break or overload the service. Accounts doing so can be suspended.

Your content

Your receipts and notes remain yours. You grant only what's needed to run the service — storing your data, reading it with the AI processor described in the privacy policy, and contributing anonymised product-and-price facts to shared statistics as set out there.

Availability and liability

This is a small, self-hosted service run in good faith. There is no uptime guarantee, and it may change or stop. Keep your own copies of anything critical — the Export function gives you everything, any time. To the extent the law allows, the operator isn't liable for losses arising from use of the service, and the AI reading of a receipt may contain mistakes: always check figures that matter (tax, warranties, claims) against the original slip, which Slips keeps for you.

Ending it

You can delete your family at any time; it is destroyed after a 30-day grace period. The operator may suspend or remove a family that breaks these terms, and will give notice where practical.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius.
